This Thanksgiving, Bake Some Protein Into That Apple Pie!

Ingredients

TART SHELL

  • 1/2 Scoop Quest® Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder
  • 2 tablespoons oat flour
  • 1 tablespoon almond flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon zero calorie sweetener
  • 1 tablespoon butter (cold)
  • 1 tablespoon ice cold water
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

PIE FILLING

Method

Filling

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, heat QuestBar® and almond milk for 60 seconds.
  2. In a blender add everything and blend together until smooth.
  3. Place in refrigerator for 10 minutes.

Tart

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Cut cold butter into tiny cubes and place in a small mixing bowl.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients and mix together until a dough ball is formed.
  4. Wrap dough ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove dough and cut into 4 equal parts.
  6. Press each piece of dough evenly into a 3 inch tart mold.
  7. Bake tarts for 8 minutes.
  8. Let cool for 2 minutes, then remove tart shells from mold.
  9. Invert shells on baking tray and bake for 6 minutes.

Assembly

  1. Split filling evenly into all four tart shells.
  2. Bake for 6 minutes.
  3. Let cool for 4 minutes
  4. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
