Hi, I am Laura London. I am a 47-year-old mother of three amazing kids and a wife of 23 years. My mission and passion are to help motivate and inspire woman to be their best at any age.

My story is quite long but I’m going to shorten it up for you. Most people assume that when they look at me that I must have grown up athletic. Quite the opposite, I can’t dance and I have never ever played a sport in my life growing up. My brother was a hemophiliac, which means his blood did not clot. So sports were not something we did in my house. We did not even watch them on TV.

I was grocery shopping one day and picked up a magazine with before and after transformations in it. I was totally amazed. I had never seen anything like this in my life before. I wanted to learn everything I could about these amazing transformations. I decided that I was going to do that too.

I joined a gym with my shirt down to my knees, covering everything. My children were young at the time. I wrote down goals, I planned out my exercise routines; I logged my food and diligently did my cardio. Slowly my shirt started to come off and my muscles started to appear. I was hooked and have not looked back since. Apparently, I am athletic and a very late bloomer!

I went on to compete in figure competitions and came in first place three times. Then life as I say “got in the way.” I lost my dad and my brother. I then became the president of their respective companies. I dealt with a back injury and was juggling three kids in addition to a husband who traveled all the time. I felt overwhelmed and dealt with the pain by medicating myself with food.

During this time, I gained over 30 lbs. My hormones were out of control and I was depressed and addicted to sugar. I was embarrassed because just a few short years ago I had been in great shape. At 42, I was a mess! But something inside me said OH HECK NO, this is not what the 40’s and the rest of my life is going to be like. Not only did I lose weight and get in shape, but I now had to do it all over again!

I started back slowly, walking, then joining the gym and again hitting the weights. I worked hard and did not give up. Since that day I have not looked back and in my 40’s (47 to be exact) I have been published internationally in fitness magazines, been in exercise DVD’s, have my own fitness & wellness web sites, e-books and online programs. And I am not stopping. I’m doing things I never dreamed were possible.

My “baby” is called Fit and Fabulous Mom Contest a show that I host it every year. It is my way of giving back to all the amazing mom’s who work so hard staying in shape and juggling family, work and everything else that life gives us. Encouraging mom’s to step out of their comfort zone and do something they never thought they might do is really what the show is all about. It’s a family night of fitness, fashion and fun. Life begins outside of your comfort zone. Trust me on this one!
