Simple Snack: Fire Grilled Peppers
Sometimes, the best things in life are the most simple. Such is the case with this super simple snack.
We’re huge fans of bell peppers at the Quest offices. Generally they are just cut up and eaten raw. That works, and it’s good. But eventually that gets old. To take it up a notch, check this out.
You will need:
1 bell pepper, cut into strips (Any color)
Your favoriate hot sauce
Garlic powder (because I put garlic on everything)
Heat up your grill. This snack is good to prepare while cooking a full meal such as grilled chicken, but easy enough to cook whenever the mood strikes.
Throw your peppers into a bowl. Shake in enough hot sauce to lightly coat the peppers. Sprinkle on the garlic salt. Toss that around for a bit.
Place the peppers on the grill and cook for 5 minutes.
Flip them, cook for another 2. One side will be really dark and crispy, the other will retain the original color.
Eat those suckers up. They’ll be good the next day if you don’t get to them the same day you cook.
30 Calories, 7 carbs and a little sodium (which is your friend) from the hot sauce.
Perfect for a summer cut or anyone looking for an easy, lean snack idea.
