5 Tips For a Better You
Accept that you don’t have to stay where you are: life happens and we can lose sight of what is going on from time to time. Things accumulate over time so that have to be disentangled and rearranged over time. But it’s possible!
Goals are not enough, you need a plan of action: you want win a war but how do you gear up, strategize and attack to get the desired outcome? Be very detailed about how you go about your business (diligence)
Accountability: we have be responsible for ourselves. We are adults and while we cannot control everything, we can control how we feel and how we act. Don’t let others dictate your life. Find a small support group and let them know your goals and plans to achieve them! Only you know how much effort you are putting forth!
Consistency: we all want consistency but how much do we practice it? When you have a plan, how often do you keep to it? Do you have alternatives when Plan A fails? This year, let’s be more consistent (no one is perfect but consistency is not about perfection but creating a noticeable pattern that makes things go forward in your favor). When you are consistent, the changes come and you become more persistent! People see that and they gravitate to you. Consistency breeds belief on oneself.
Belief in oneself: my rule of them of confidence is that “if I cannot believe that I can do it, I have already lost.” In a world that beats you down, you can’t give it another hand in that (let alone it being your own hand). If you do the first four things, your belief in your own greatness will come to fruition. Also, what is more attractive than humble confidence?
These are just a few life lessons that have carried over into my fitness lifestyle! I hope this helps anyone who is looking for a rough guide to get them to a better place!
My motto: take it a day at a time, a meal at a time, and a rep at a time! Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was my body!
