The 8 Types of People You’ll Meet At An eSports Event
Meet the many faces of eSports. Which ones do you recognize?
Over 10,000 fans attended the League of Legends Spring Finals Championships at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. We caught up with some of the members in the community to get their take on the fandom surrounding eSports and what it’s like to be at a live eSport event. Who are the fans? Where do they come from? Why are they here??
1. THE ESPORTS VETERAN
Our first eSports interviewee is the one that’s “been there, done that.” Sloane “Skipper” Wolf has been playing League of Legends since 2011 and her peak rank was Platinum 5. She came to Las Vegas to support Counter Logic Gaming and we caught up with her right after her boys in black and blue took down TSM.
